When you decide to have orthodontic treatment you’re committing to treatment that on average will take between 18 months and 2 years. You will attend around 12 appointments during the course of your treatment and will need to maintain a high level of dental hygiene and take general good care of your brace. Private patients can self refer though are generally referred by their dentist. NHS patients will always be referred through their dentist.
